Ring opening and reclosure in a cyclic phosphorane.
Cyclic phosphates and certain related compounds undergo hydrolysis millions of times faster than their acyclic analogs, and specifically may undergo rapid hydrolysis of ester groups that are external to the ring.'-4 These unusual rate effects have recently been explained5 by postulating that the trigonal bipyramidal intermediates, formed during hydrolysis, undergo an internal inversion, or "pse...
متن کاملTheoritical Kinetic Study of the Ring Opening of Cyclic Alkanes
This work reports a theoretical study of the gas phase unimolecular decomposition of cyclobutane, cyclopentane and cyclohexane by means of quantum chemical calculations. A biradical mechanism has been envisaged for each cycloalkane, and the main routes for the decomposition of the biradicals formed have been investigated at the CBSQB3 level of theory. Thermochemical data (H°f, S°, C°p) for all...
متن کاملOn Skew Cyclic Codes over a Finite Ring
In this paper, we classify the skew cyclic codes over Fp + vF_p + v^2F_p, where p is a prime number and v^3 = v. Each skew cyclic code is a F_p+vF_p+v^2F_p-submodule of the (F_p+vF_p+v^2F_p)[x;alpha], where v^3 = v and alpha(v) = -v. Also, we give an explicit forms for the generator of these codes. Moreover, an algorithm of encoding and decoding for these codes is presented.
متن کاملSynthesis of Polysiloxanes In Microemulsion Via ring opening of D4
Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) has been synthesized by ring-opening polymerization of octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4) in microemulsion with acidic catalyst. The structure and properties of microemulsion were characterized by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Photo Correlation Spectroscopy (PCS). The effect of the variation in pH value, amoun...
متن کاملTriazabicyclodecene: a simple bifunctional organocatalyst for acyl transfer and ring-opening polymerization of cyclic esters.
1,5,7-Triazabicyclo[4.4.0]dec-5-ene (TBD) is an effective organocatalyst for acyl transfer as well as the ring-opening polymerization of cyclic esters. Its high activity is attributed to its ability to simultaneously activate both esters and alcohols, as demonstrated in a model reaction. This unique mechanism makes TBD a remarkably simple example of a bifunctional catalyst. The simplicity of th...
